Leigh Ann Scalf, MD
Dr. Scalf studied medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine acquiring the Doctor of Medicine Degree in 2000. While at the University of Louisville she completed an additional year of research in Contact Dermatitis which resulted in multiple
publications in the field.
Dr. Scalf completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville. She completed an ACGME-accredited residency in Dermatology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She received the "Most Outstanding Resident Award," and the "Resident Teaching Award." After graduation from residency, she also completed a fellowship in the sub-specialty of dermatopathology.
Dr. Scalf then completed an Advanced Clinical Dermatology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota with studies and research in Skin Allergies and Contact Dermatitis.
Dr. Scalf is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and is board-certified in dermatopathology by the American Boards of Dermatology and Pathology.
Collective experience is vital in medicine and so is access to a team of fellow professionals. She remains actively associated with the Mayo Clinic as a member of the Mayo Clinic Contact Dermatitis Group (MCCDG) with privileges of instant access to the latest research, information, and clinical resources.
